Fundraising application that takes and transfers direct donations from all monetary levels such as established companies or individual citizens for political campaign use• Created a new full stack application using Next.js, leveraging Next.js fast backend call capabilities to users bank accounts for quick transaction experiences• Deployed the application on Netlify, taking advantage of Netlify’s serverless function structure to efficiently and cheaply make hundreds of account transactions each day• Built a custom monetary roundup serverless function that takes everyday purchases the user makes, round the purchase up to the nearest dollar, and increment a tally system to keep track of how much collected extra money to withdraw from their account each week.

● Implemented TypeScript’s custom typing to create statically typed variables, utilizing TypeScript’s extensive error handle tooling to catch bugs early, increase the code base readability, and speed up onboarding time for new devs● Managed technical debt by converting the deprecated Enzyme testing suite to an all new React 18 compatible suite utilizing Jest, Supertest, and React Testing Library, speeding up future developer debugging and pushing the application towards full CI/CD capabilities● Redesigned the UI to create a more interactive user experience by adding notifications for core application features and loading events to give immediate response updates to the user, keeping them engaged and informed● Utilized the Material UI library to create reusable components, using them to build a signup page for new users to quickly create their own accounts, removing the need to provide a generic root system administrator account for the first initial login and mitigating the security risk of unauthorized user access to the application● Updated the Redux state of the React container component to render the image name and ID number for containers built from Docketeer’s image library, clarifying which container is being viewed and making large scale, complex monitoring much easier as the application scales● Refactored the backend codebase by consolidating Express middleware, reducing requests and streamlining the backend API routing and adhering to the DRY principle
