PresidentVisual Aircraft, Llc Feb 2004 - Jan 2007As solutions architect and program manager, built an immersive aircraft pilot and maintainer simulation platform for FlightSafety International. This training toolkit was created using the Quest3D game engine, Scaleform Technologies UI, and custom Flash and XML architecture and development. Hands-on development work was performed by staff of The Harrington Group in Orlando. Supporting tools and techniques included Dassault Systemes CATIA, 3D Studio MAX and Right Hemisphere Deep Exploration.Custom modeling, optimization, animation and CAI (computer-aided instruction) was performed on several models of Gulfstream, Cessna and Hawker Beechcraft business jets. The resulting first generation of the toolkit was successful enough that efforts are currently underway to build an updated version based on COLLADA-format models, with custom lesson-building tools for FlightSafety instructional design objectives. Prototype deliver to FlightSafety classrooms is scheduled to begin shortly.The development resulted in several very unique differentiators for any application that can benefit from training in 3D. A provisional patent has been applied for related to a key feature set.
