For the past seven years, I have been growing a women’s fashion brand’s (JayLey) B2B and B2C websites - recently helping to secure a B2B contract with a top fashion retailer and surpass previous B2C sales by 30%. I manage over 10,000 product listings. The website achieved over 65,000 website views last year.As part of my website management role, I continually improve web page speed/loading times (increase of 70% in the last 12 months) and ensure the site is optimised for mobile devices (increase of 60% in the number of visits from mobile devices last year). All website development is done through the use of development roadmaps to ensure timely completion, on budget.I also oversee many marketing campaigns, including the creation of bi-weekly B2B/B2C e-mailshots to 3,500 subscribers.My role as technical manager also sees me installing and maintaining all of the technical equipment used in JayLey’s office, shop and warehouse (from the marketing and payment software to hardware including laptops, card readers, routers and phones).

When I started working at Infinities, website conversions were a problem, so I created a mobile responsive version of the site and conversion rates increased by 20%. Alongside this, I developed a mobile app and, by offering exclusive discounts for app users, received over 100 downloads.I also improved communication between the head office and twelve stores nationwide by installing and maintaining a corporate messaging system.Day-to-day responsibilities included adding and amending product descriptions to the website (total of over 750 products). I also increased the number of inbound links to the website by 30% (maximising search-engine presence).On the marketing side, I wrote content to promote men's designer fashion products (blog got over 1K visits at its peak). During my time at Infinities, I increased customer engagement by 45% through digital marketing and social media. I also reduced the cost-per-click on Google Adwords by 10%.This self-managed role saw me create monthly reports to track my KPIs, as well as profit and loss reports for the business as a whole. I also conducted competitor research into prices, website functionality, SEO etc.

At this marketing agency, I was responsible for seven clients’ websites and digital marketing (incl. SMS and Wi-Fi marketing).This included copywriting to increase client website rankings by an average of 15%. I also sent e-mail marketing campaigns that had a 7% clickthrough rate. One of my clients saw a 60% increase in website traffic.

For the Learning Development Unit, I created and modified a Microsoft Access database and Excel spreadsheets (students used this to hire out IT equipment). I also removed viruses and installed hardware onto the unit's 50 computers. I also created user guides to teach students how to use the university's voting software on PowerPoint.

This software development company provides critical safety software for large companies such as Chevron Oil and Gas. I tested the product in all areas using a test specification that I produced.I had to test all parts of the system including dual redundant Programmable Logic Controllers, intelligent control devices and a PC supervisory control and data acquisition systems. I checked the entire data path from device level through the PLCs to the Scada and host Distributed Control System, using actual contract hardware and PC emulators, to simulate the refinery. If faults were found I worked with the directors to rewrite the PLC ladder logic or PC code, to remap the data correctly. The control system I tested and documented is now running 25% of the Chevron Refinery in Pembrokeshire. The test specification that I wrote and completed is part of the ISO 9001 QA contract documentation.

I worked for a computer retailer (CTS computers) for 2 months whilst in secondary school. My main task was to build PCs and install both firmware and software. Each computer had a design specification that I had to meet. I tested computer software and hardware to ensure they met the required standards. I also helped to man the shop counter, dealing with new and existing customer queries.
