Sole IT employee at NYC’s arts-funding agency, reporting to the Assistant Commissioner for Administration and, for a time, to the Deputy Commissioner. Introduced PCs to the agency; authored, agency’s RFP for its first local area network, managed the bidding process and awarded winning vendor. Represented Cultural Affairs in the Municipal Data Processing Council, an association of the MIS/IT directors from each New York City mayoral agency.

Lotus 1-2-3 and dBase II development part-time and over school breaks while I was in college. Developed entire systems for the department’s Management Planning and Operations units, including those that tabulated data for the Mayor’s Management Report; managed amendments to the seasonal hiring plan (for lifeguards and other seasonal employees); and tracked periodic inspections for all New York City parks and playgrounds properties
