Worked with KEXP DJs and curators to bring more music into more people’s lives – serving listeners and championing artists. Helped KEXP achieve its public service goals. Built and managed a $5 mm operating plan and annual budget for KEXP:Led a team that negotiated 30-year lease with City of Seattle for KEXP’s Home at Seattle Center; secured one of the lowest cost per square foot lease rates on campus, positioning KEXP to achieve its $15 mm capital campaign. Led a team that negotiated 30-year agreement with University of Washington to operate KEXP FM; achieved $1.5 mm in annual cash and in-kind contributions when many universities are cutting support for stations.

Managed KEXP’s programming team, recruited talent, provided growth opportunities, and assessed performance:Developed licensing strategy for intellectual property, helping grow the YouTube audience for live performance videos from 1.5 mm views in 2009 to more than 150 mm views and 150,000 subscribers.Led a team that negotiated a four-year agreement with Radio New York, and launched a coast-to-coast terrestrial broadcast partnership to champion independent artists (the first of its kind).Helped negotiate a $2 mm partnership with Microsoft, helping to stabilize KEXP’s digital infrastructure.

Implemented marketing and talent buying strategies to grow attendance for KEXP and Seattle Center's Concerts at the Mural Series from 5000 attendees to over 10,000 music lovers of all ages. Managed and produced the 4th Annual KEXP Kids’ Dance Party, the 22nd Annual Shake the Shack Rockabilly Ball, John in the Morning at Night in NYC (for the first time), and the 7th Annual KEXP Yule Benefit.

Coordinated programming projects that served more than 100,000 listeners each week at KEXP FM. Developed marketing partnerships that developed KEXP’s brand and grew KEXP’s audience in Seattle and other U.S. markets included SXSW Music Festival in Austin, CMJ Music Marathon in New York, and Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival in Seattle.

Implemented and managed KEXP Music Blog; edited content, scheduled posts, and managed community engagement to grow audience from a pilot group of users to 83,000 monthly visits in December 2006. Coordinated KEXP podcasting service: licensed music for hundreds of songs, managed content schedule, ensured timely daily and weekly content launches to nearly 100,000 subscribers by the end of 2007 and 14 million podcast downloads by 2008. Developed KEXP Podcasting Database that improved KEXP’s rights management and licensing strategy.

Implemented a system for managing and updating KEXP Community Events and In-Studio Calendar, a new cataloging system for tracking music library acquisitions, and a new daily system for updating music rotation.
