Co-founded a backup company with a cloud backup product and a backup appliance. Managed the SDLC for data protection products, generating millions in annual revenue. Performed all staff management, including interviewing, hiring, and performance evaluations.Developed Java Swing Desktop Application for configuring backup jobs and performing restores.Developed C Desktop Agent, Windows NT Service or Mac/FreeBSD/Linux Dameon, that spawned backup jobs: handling incremental scans, compression, at-rest encryption, deduplication and secure (in-flight) SSL data transfers via OpenSSL using a custom binary protocol.Developed C Backup Server Application used by Desktop GUI and Agent: handling backups, restores, archive searching, directory listings and interaction with several MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.Developed Windows MAPI Application in C to backup Microsoft Outlook.
