To support and guide the first-year student experience at Willamette University, Colloquium Associates work closely with faculty and staff to deliver additional mandatory curriculum referred to as the "4th hour". The Colloquium Associate role is that of a peer-mentor, teaching assistant, and student leader combined into one. As a CA I held regular office hours, assisted faculty, helped students navigate the university, and promoted the well-being and personal growth of first-year students. Using my life experiences as a fourth year university student and the subsequent interpersonal and academic skills I have developed, I effectively supported students academically, socially, as well as emotionally throughout the beginning phase of their college journey.

The role of the IFC president is to ensure the fraternity community on campus is broadly being held accountable to high standards and on a path towards positive growth. As president, I established weekly all fraternity president meetings to increase accountability, collaboration, and cross-communication. To combat gender-based violence, I promoted healthy identities and relationships by organizing several initiatives to provide resources for fraternity men on campus.

In this newly created digital media position within the Office of Admissions, I was given the duties of overseeing and carrying out media projects to help creatively communicate the value of Willamette's education to prospective students and their families. I was responsible for brainstorming and generating new ideas, overseeing existing video content projects, directing shoots, recording video and audio, and video editing.

Serving as the first point of contact for new students in their start to college, Opening Days Leaders facilitate the week long orientation program for first-year and transfer students. As part of an engaged team of student leaders I helped to foster community and connect students to resources. For two consecutive years I welcomed a group of new students to campus and facilitated their Opening Days experience with other student leaders, staff, and faculty. Responsibilities included facilitating ice breakers, guiding critical conversations, setting community standards, connecting students to resources, and team building activities.

As president of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Willamette University I had the pleasure (and challenge) of working with an organization of over 60 members dedicated to leadership and service. Our philanthropy raised the most funds of any Greek event and we took a campus leadership initiative to set new standards for our pledge education program to address issues relevant to Greek Life today including gender-based violence and substance abuse.
