Recently retired as an IBM executive, over his 30-year career Drew led development of several of IBM's first Internet software products, including several AI and machine learning technologies such as the precursor products to IBM’s Watson. Drove the successful launch of 6 major products for IBM by leveraging global development resources, commercialization of cutting-edge research, and synergy from market-leading startups.As founding Managing Partner at Serpentine Venture Advisors, Drew is currently focused on helping startups thrive through practical coaching, developing business strategy, introduction to sources of capital, and partnership with enterprise leaders in fast-growing markets and verticals.Drew is passionate about seeking out problems worth solving, seeing opportunities to apply creative business models and technology to solve them, and building first-class teams that change the world.Selected to participate in IBM's inaugural "Innovation Jam" Drew proposed the concept of an IBM Global Innovation Corps. Modeled after the Peace Corps but focused on applying IBM's skills and expertise, teams of hand-picked IBM'ers would be deployed around the world to assist cities and regions around the world in tackling their own grand challenges. Most recently at IBM, Drew co-founded IBM's Venture Capital group.
