Oversee the management of an elite academic and leadership program for NROTC students across a regional, five university affiliation. Developed the Navy's Front End Assessment and Warfighting Capability Plan that defined the Chief of Naval Operation's capability risk priorities for the 2013-2015 budgets. Integrated results of Quadrennial Defense Review into Navy's Force Structure Assessment, providing senior leadership with an analytically defendable force structure requirement. Built and managed a multi-million dollar analytic plan for the Navy headquarters* Led critical force structure assessment, establishing requirements for the number of ships, submarines and aircraft for the Navy beyond the next two decades.* Conducted detailed analysis of Navy and Marine Corps warfighting gaps and overlaps to guide investment decisions for the Navy's budget to improve force wartime effectiveness.

Led training, readiness, maintenance, logistics and scheduling for 3 ships, 2000 Sailors and Marines and a 41 member core staff. Responsible for the safe and professional execution of a 4-month humanitarian/civic assistance mission to the Oceania region of the South Pacific. Subsequently led 3 ships and a staff through the inter-deployment training cycle leading to certification for wartime deployment.* As Mission Commander for Pacific Partnership 2009, flawlessly planned and led a multi-national team, including 11 non-governmental organizations in delivering humanitarian and civic assistance to five nations in the Oceania region of the South Pacific. Efforts resulted in the quality care of over 22,000 patients and the construction of 18 schools, clinics and community centers. * Planned and executed numerous training and exercise requirements including 2 bi-lateral amphibious exercises with the Navy, Marine Corps and Japanese Ground Self Defense Force.

Advised the commander and supervised a staff of over 200 personnel in managing day-to-day operations of the 285 ship surface fleet to include all aspects of maintenance, training, readiness, logistics, support, safety and administration.* Established curriculum and implemented the waterfront Surface Warfare Officer indoctrination course in order to prepare newly commissioned officers for their initial Navy assignment

Responsible for day-to-day operations of a 44,000 ton amphibious assault ship to include scheduling, planning, maintenance, training and the good order and discipline of a 1200 person crew. * Led ship to the highest readiness ratings in the Fleet and ensured that the ship was certified for combat operaitons three months ahead of scheudle. * Earned two consecutive Battle Efficiency Awards for outstanding combat readiness and two golden anchor awards highlighting outstanding retention of Sailors.

Accountable and responsible for the operational employment, safety, maintenance and administration of a Guided Missile Destroyer and a 300 person crew. * Improved retention by 17% and earned the Golden Anchor award for outstanding retention. * Set Fleet standard in improving advancement rates by 23%. * Commanded first ship in Third Fleet to train, certify and deploy in support of the Ballistic Missile Defense mission.
