Deeply committed to individual and collective creativity and productivity, I develop and deliver Process Tools for the Post-Hierarchic Economy™.I am both a spirited inventor of process tools and services, and a composer of experimental classical music. With both musicians in orchestras, and teammates in business organizations, I have composed scores and processes that help people get things done in a far more creative and productive manner than hierarchical structures permit. In 2005 I founded iLiv to convert this vision into a set of tools and services any organization can tap into. Concurrent with the industrial revolution, organizations of all kinds came to believe that command-and-control was the best way to work together. In the new information age, this hierarchical model works less well. There is an alternative operating system for human interaction that is more powerful and appropriate to the Networked Persons that we have become. It has been used by composers and performers for centuries: Someone somewhere gets an idea and writes a score, and thereafter anyone anywhere (and in any century) gets together with others to perform it. A mission is accomplished, and an audience is enriched. The idea is elegant, simple, transparent, welcoming, highly productive, and naturally creative.My mission is to enable anyone, who happens not to be playing music in a band, to benefit from this empowering utility for process design and performance. It works — for example, in one industry, more than 2 billion square feet of building space has been certified green over the last 12 years, using the tools and services developed and served by our company.I continue to compose and perform music, and to guide iLiv’s developers and customers to leverage our assets to capture every idea and implement every opportunity that maps to their mission. I am incredibly excited to join with you also, to compose a better world together.
