Andrew has dedicated over a dozen years to learning how to find, fund, and unite GameChanging organizations. Recognizing that the grande challenges of our time require something beyond individual for-profits and non-profits, Andrew’s work is focused on funding networks of synergistic organizations in ways that unleash collaboration and deepen the trust among leaders. His initiatives have included creating a ranking of the world’s top purpose-driven companies (GameChangers 500), a federal policy framework to define a fourth economic sector, training that builds group trust and coherence, and helping grow a charitable investment fund with now $10B in assets under management. He is currently building a network of synergistic home-building technologies to model how we can work in harmony while building physical communities that help us live in harmony. Andrew has served as an Entrepreneur in Residence Emeritus at UC San Diego, as a board member of the Pachamama Alliance, and as an advisor to visionary companies. Through researching and ranking thousands of organizations, Andrew developed expertise in what differentiates high-performing purpose-driven organizations, has been featured in news media around the world, and earned a seat on an advisory council guiding federal legislation within the U.S. government. Purpose-driven pioneers like Patagonia, creators of tribe-like cultures such as Zappos, and cause champions like TOMS are among the organizations Andrew has studied and worked with throughout his journey. He has also supported century-old corporations such as Kraft Foods in learning how to lead with purpose and has been referred to as a “purpose sherpa” for executives at large corporations. He has addressed a diversity of audiences including students at the United Nations University for Peace, CEO’s of Asia’s largest banks, government officials in the U.A.E, and everything in between. Andrew was born to Irish parents, raised in Canada, built a company in Costa Rica, initiated fourth sector development in California, ran a retreat center in Colorado, COVIDed in Australia, and supports New Zealand as one of the 500 leaders selected for the Edmond Hillary Fellowship. When he’s not geeking-out on home building technologies, he can be found in nature buzzing on his e-bike or singing poorly to devotional music. For inquiries, contact: ahewitt (a t) inh.fund
