Andrew is a Founder and Partner of Insight Wealth Group. His background is less “traditional” than most financial advisors, but the relationships and experience he can bring to bear for clients are valuable.Andrew grew up as a farm kid in rural northwest Iowa. While receiving his degree from the University of Iowa, Andrew began a career in campaign politics. He has had the opportunity to play substantive roles in three presidential elections, two U.S. Senate campaigns and a gubernatorial campaign. Notably, Andrew worked on both campaigns and in the administration of President George W. Bush, ending his time with the Bush team as the director of rural outreach and as the Coalitions Director for the Midwest region of the President’s reelection campaign.After leaving the campaign trail, Andrew decided to settle back down in Iowa and went to work for one of the top independent financial advisors in the country, working as a financial advisor, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the organization over a five year period. During this time, he experienced firsthand the difficulties for high net worth investors, and our industry, as they worked through the 2008 financial crisis. Those experiences have distinctly shaped the approach Andrew takes with his clients as he works to identify opportunities and avoid the missteps so many investors made during this time.Andrew and his wife, Sarah, live in Urbandale with their two children. In his spare time, Andrew stays active in various volunteer organizations and enjoys finding time to fly fish.
