CurrentMy broad-scope position spans all stages of innovative production process, machine, and automation development. This encompasses machine selection, R&D, quoting, fixture and NC part program development through CAD/CAM, custom macro development, process control, manual machine part production, tool and fixture setup, development of standards for work and preventative maintenance, and operator training. I have performed all of the above responsibilities on various high-precision machine platforms, including multi-spindle Swiss lathes, five-axis mills, five-axis EDM machines, and manual engine lathes, knee mills, and surface grinders. Part and machine setup has included ordering and creating proper machine tooling, interpreting customer and internal prints using GD&T, editing and writing programs in G-code and various CAM softwares, and ensuring process capability and machine performance over time.Other projects that I have worked on include tooling inventory management and organization, print and SPC updates, autonomous maintenance standards, and lean/Kaizen process flow. Working daily with the project manager and engineers, I focus on continuous improvement primarily through innovative solutions, reducing machine cycle time, and improving quality and consistency while maintaining ISO standards.
