I am the senior Consultant Neurosurgeon at University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust. I have thirty years of neurosurgery experience, having trained in Cambridge and Glasgow before moving to UHB.I enjoy teaching and mentoring the next generation of neurosurgeons and sharing my knowledge and experience. I enjoy working in teams and believe the best patient outcomes are achieved when the team works and learns together. This is especially true in a challenging and resource-limited healthcare system like the NHS.I also enjoy my role as an expert witness and have learned a lot from clinical negligence work over the years. I am dedicated to assisting the court with impartial and evidence-based opinions, using my expertise and experience in the field. I strive to help the justice system reach fair and accurate decisions.I am also a strong advocate for advancing the field of neurosurgery through research and innovation. I have published numerous articles and papers on various topics related to my speciality.
