Working with the local unions to ensure compliance of all applicable laws and regulations. Accomplishments* Quickly identified and mitigated several critical infrastructure issues for supported clients.Through building relationships with relevant customers, developed a strategy to upgrade client's infrastructure with minimal impact to their budget.ResponsibilitiesServe as an IT Lead/Systems Administrator for server and network systems residing in a Research Development Testing Evaluation (RDT&E) laboratory computer environment. Demonstrate a solid background in managing and modernizing computer infrastructures and ensure that the appropriate operational Information Assurance (IA) posture is established and maintained for all RDT&E systems supported. Implement and maintain disaster recovery of critical data systems and ensure their ability for immediate recovery. Implement and maintain VMware virtual client environments and develop migration paths to virualize critical data systems. Supervise and maintain detailed records for the scanning and hardening of RDT&E system per current Department of Defense GIG connectivity, work with a variety of operating systems, lab computer equipment and provide technical support/coordination with other RDT&E lab System Administrators.

Accomplishments * Assisted with the development of a private/public partnership to build a 600 seat call center. The partnership resulted in the creation of a long term lease of a state of the art city owned call center, which resulted in the creation of 400 new jobs in less than a year. * Updated the city's technological infrastructure to a converged data network, which improved communications and reduced waste. Responsibilities Department director, responsible for planning, staffing, budgeting, network and computer services for a municipality of approximately 20,000 residents and 250 employees. Serve as a member of the City Manager's executive team. Responsible for the overall management of the city's public safety systems, including radio systems, 911 dispatch services, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, telephone and cell phone services, document management systems, Incode municipal software, network and end user systems. Oversee the city's call center and serve as liaison to the call centers corporate officers. Manage a department operational budget of $700,000 and project budgets up to $9 million. Develop the city's federal E-rate program for library services. Oversee, and when necessary, provide direct management of all software system, including data conversions and migrations. Provide oversight for technology related contracts and services. Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans for all business systems; including, financial databases, EMS billing, document management systems, housing, various in house SQL databases and video/audio services. Implement and maintain virtualized environment using Microsoft Hyper V, Microsoft Terminal Services, VMware 4 and 5 ESXi, VMware cloud computing. Secure use of visualized systems for outside client use. Responsible for change management and providing appropriate documentation for local, state and federal authorities.

Accomplishments* Reconstructed and improved network services to increase uptime from 17% to 99.9%. The reconstruction included changes in technology, which resulted in a hard ROI of $40,368.00 year.* Licensed and standardized desktop and server software, including the deployment of a work order system and Symantec Ghost, resulting in the reduction of work order completion time by six weeks on average.ResponsibilitiesDepartment director responsible for planning, staffing, budgeting, network and computer services for a public school district, consisting of 1450 students and 200 faculty and staff. Manage the District's Windows 2003 servers, Cisco IP Phone system, Cisco converged data network, WAN connections, classroom technology and 500 desktop and thin client computers. Migrate user desktops to Windows RDP and Citrix Client technologies to reduce costs and ensure system and data integrity. Develop and implement policy, procedures and systems to protect data and physical security. Responsible for complying with local , state and federal standards for data protection of students and staff. Serve on the District's leadership team to assist in providing guidance in setting policy for the District. Provide CTE instruction for Networking I and II, including the development of an internship and summer work program. Develop and maintain documentation of IT systems and inventory. Develop and maintain a variety of training materials, including online video tutorials. Implement and maintain a learning management system for faculty and staff. Work with the Superintendent and Business Manager to develop and work on grant opportunities, such as, E-rate and Title I.

Accomplishments* Replaced the core and network edge switches and routers with Cisco equipment, which brought uptime from 65% to over 99.99%.* Replaced remote site telephone systems and main campus PBX with Cisco IP phones to help improve internal and external communications. The upgrade also resulted in a return on investment of $70,000 a year.ResponsibilitiesDepartment director responsible for planning, staffing, budgeting and services within the Computer Information Services department, duties include managing district phone services, licensed and unlicensed microwave systems. Provide management support for the College's Sun server, Windows 2000/2003 servers, Linux servers, Cisco LAN/WAN networks, Cisco IP phone systems. Consult with users regarding changes to network and administrative software and the impacts of changes to the network and administrative systems. Manage create and participate in the development of training materials to improve employee use of communications and networking tools. Manage and participate in the design, installation and maintenance of network associated systems, hardware and software. Manage client software systems servicing more than 14,000 students across 10,000 square miles. Oversee all system software related to the functions of the College. Oversee security for hosted applications and ensure appropriate tracking and change management of systems for appropriate reporting and record keeping.

Accomplishments* Increased staff productivity 320% in a five-month period.* Successfully migrated from a twin ax network to a hybrid fiber coax wide area network using the local cable company's fiber.ResponsibilitiesAssistant Director responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the City's business software and hardware, staff management, project management, request for proposals, purchasing, inventory, budget, the implementation of the City's five year technology plan, and wide are network/local area network. Provide management support for the City's multi-platform network consisting of: IBM AS400 servers, Windows NT/2000 servers, Windows 95/98/NT/2000 workstations, IBM OS2 servers, firewall, web server, Microsoft Exchange server, enterprise backup, Fast Ethernet, Ethernet, microwave, Aironet wireless, hybrid fiber coax (HFC), fiber, Cisco networking hardware, and twin ax. Utilized strong management skills to raise staff productivity, improve customer service and implement performance measures.

Accomplishments* Managed the completion of the City's Year 2000 project. The project entailed the replacement of numerous PC's, servers, and integrated systems. Mission critical systems were completed ahead of schedule and below projected costs.* Led the team responsible for the upgrade and replacement of the City's Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment plant SCADA systems.ResponsibilitiesSenior Manager responsible for the geographic information system, public safety mobile data system, year 2000 project, intelligent transportation system, public safety software and database integrity, HTE municipal applications, communications network, audio visual department, and information technology issues. Utilized strong project management skills to implement document imaging, the creation of a geographic information system, implementation of a public safety mobile data system, and the transition from custom software to HTE municipal software. Responsible for the creation of budgets, training of end users and the creation of strategic plans as they pertained to information technology.
