As the IT Director at Carl H. Lindner College of Business, my role encompasses the strategic oversight of all IT-related activities. I am charged with the creation and execution of policies and forward-thinking initiatives designed to enhance efficiency, drive innovation, and deliver exceptional service to our faculty, staff, and student body.•Oversee an IT operating budget exceeding $1.2 million annually.•Maintain technical support for 500+ faculty and staff, 9,500+ students and 2000+ PC systems •Developed and manage an IT organizational structure that includes four full time staff and fifteen student workers. •Orchestrated a 5-million-dollar technology implementation into a new 110-million-dollar business school. •Actively serve on the Lindner College of Business Deans Executive Committee to provide technology insight. •Manage the College IT ServiceDesk that includes oversight of best practices and frameworks, such as ITIL foundations, to drive continuous process improvement. •Pioneered the first student web portal for the College (Lindner Central), featuring 100+ knowledge base articles, 30+ digital forms, 26+ interactive classroom tours, 200+ course syllabus, 100+ course concept videos and 40+ software directory.•Developed a custom Credit Approval Transfer System (CATS) that streamlined a complex student process to gain approval for classes taken internationally. The process now provides students results in days vs weeks. •Secured a $597,000 grant to design state-of-the-art active learning classrooms.•Led the inaugural deployment of the ServiceNow environment at the University of Cincinnati, improving incident resolution and asset management across the board: • Incident Management: Effectively resolve approximately 1,600 support tickets annually. • Asset Management: Track and maintain over 5,300 pieces of technology hardware. • Software Asset Management: Manage over 40 applications and licensing agreements.

Andrew Becker is an Information Technology Analyst for the University of Cincinnati, Carl H. Lindner College Of Business. His responsibilities include supporting and maintaining application servers, license servers, and provide IT support for the colleges’ faculty staff and students. Andrew manages two direct reports that provide classroom technology support, maintain student lab software, and administer the colleges’ distance learning program. • Deploy MS Windows updates, patches and applications using a combination of Symantec Altiris Total Management Suite, MS Windows scripting, MS Group Policy Software Installation and Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS). • Manage a Microsoft Active Directory 2003 and 2008 environment.• Co-authored a domain migration plan from a 2003 Active Directory environment to a 2008 Active Directory environment.• Utilized the Active Directory Migration Tool to migrate users, security groups and other objects in during the AD migration.• Implemented and currently maintain a student printing system (PCounter) to help generate a cost recovery solution for College of Business IT department.• Setup and manage a Microsoft Remote Desktop Services server farm for making lab software available off campus for all CoB students.• Setup and manage Microsoft Remote Desktop Services server farm for Visual Studio development and student website publication.• Planned and implemented a DNS Round Robin network load balancing solution with the UC Network Operations Center. • Manage multiple academic software suites through various license manager applications.• Configured and manage a MS System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) server.• Configured and manage a MS System Center Essentials server. Responsibilities were focused on bridging the gap between the Operational side of UPS and the Information Technology support groups. By facilitating the bridge between the two departments I was able to develop more efficient and cost saving strategies to the operations. Working extensively with multiple Warehouse Management Systems to document system processes.Represented the operational business perspective of UPS by assisting in identifying, developing and coordinating small and large scale application changes as well as overall application management.Maintained EDI file integrity through FTP between UPS and respective customers for 3 major adidas distribution centers in the US.Worked with third level support within the Information Technology group to establish the root of various networking, programming and infrastructure problems throughout all customer sites.

Responsible for running technical support to 80 different UPS-SCS customer sites in 26 cities nationwide.Working closely with the Customer Support Center, Administer remote desktop assistance on a 5000+ PC network to deploy virus protection software, Windows updates, NetOp software, PKMS, and a variety of UPS inventory control software. Facilitating technical training to users on IT equipment. Equipment supported includes Desktops, Laptops, RF Symbol Scan Guns, Printing devices, Scanners, Copiers, Voice Mail setup, Scales, and mobile PC’s. Managed an on site support channel between UPS and major customers to maximize service efficiency and solutions.Completed the New Horizons Course 2285, Installing, Configuring and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Professional for System Administrators through UPS – SCS technology education program.
