I have 20 years of retail experience, 12 of which in Sales, 3 in Customer Relations management, the last 5+ in Human Resources (varying roles, 1 year as Site Implementation Trainer, 2 years as Staff Planning Coordinator, past year as People & Culture Generalist.Areas of expertise and proficiency include demonstrating, facilitation, training, coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution, recruitment, onboarding, terminations, benefits advocacy, as well as technical proficiency in Microsoft Office.Over the last 10 years with IKEA I have grown into many roles, learned new functions and met so many people. My life’s goal was lifted word for word from my father’s; “I try to make at least one person laugh per day, because when you’re laughing, albeit for just a mere moment, your world is better.” This is close to IKEA’s vision to “create a better everyday life for the many.” Every day at IKEA I’m reminded of how close my personal mores and ethics coincide with the company’s. What has pushed me into Human Resources is simple; being aligned with the core values of the company while being a proponent for employee rights with a desire to help and improve.
