Andrew Eldridge is an Emmy® Award-winning filmmaker and editor from Somerville, MA with 15+ years professional experience in the television, film, commercial, and corporate industry. In 2020, he made his feature doc editorial debut with the film A Most Beautiful Thing, a film that Frank Scheck of The Hollywood Reporter described as how it “powerfully demonstrates the healing potential of sports and the ways it can help bridge societal divide.”Eldridge topped off 2020 with the launch of his own production company, Mister Francis, that focus’ on socially benefiting projects and productions. He coupled that with the release of his short documentary about the Somerville Community Corporation titled Somerville For All. The film, which follows members of the community coming together to plan and execute an illuminated walk, brings attention to gentrification and housing affordability in East Somerville.Eldridge currently maintains a full-time position as Creative Director of Another Age Productions (AAP), a for-profit production house specializing in commercial and corporate productions. AAP is the subsidiary of the 501c3 community media center, NewTV, where Eldridge served as Director of Original Programming for five years. There, Eldridge created and produced multiple Emmy® award-winning programs such as The Folklorist, American Ruins, Assassin Nation, and Heroes Around Us. He also served as an instructor to community media seeking to gain skills in video production, editing, design, and documentary production, as well as a technical director on numerous live productions such as NewTV’s election coverage and their multiple day televised auction.In Fall 2019, Eldridge was brought on as an Adjunct Professor at Lasell University to teach Producing and Video Production classes. There, he provided students with hands-on training, content for their demo reels, and advice and skills on how to secure future employment within the industry.Eldridge, who is originally from New Bedford, MA, earned a BA from the University of Maine in 2007 and currently lives in Somerville, MA.
