He worked for me for about 2 years as a law clerk. He does excellent work. He did a lot of work on a wrongful death case I settled in late 2009 for $1.5 million. He put together a good portion of the 35 page demand letter (excluding exhibits), with very little oversight by me. He is very good with medical records for handling personal injury or medical malpractice cases. He has helped me extensively on the 2 or 3 medical malpractice cases I had in the office recently. He has also done the usual law clerk type work (pleadings, discovery, legal research, interview witnesses, etc.). He always produced quality work and he is a hard worker. Andrew has attended a deposition or two with me and also attended a mediation. Andrew also helped me with a jury trial in 2009. He was able attend most of the trial, acted as a witness for an expert reading in the transcript, attend the jury instruction conference, etc. and he was able to get a feel for how a jury trial works. Andrew has had good exposure to the practice of law and many different areas of the law, and I believe he will be able to take that knowledge and experience and be a productive attorney right out of law school. There is obviously a learning curve with any new attorney, but I believe he will be a step ahead of others based on his hard work and experience. I would highly recommend Andrew. I believe he will be a very good attorney and would be an asset to any law firm or company."
