Projects in which I have been involved (as of Jan. 2021) have included:- Japan market entry strategy development and support for multiple foreign biotechs (with cellular technologies based on MSCs, iPSCs, NBDS fibroblasts, ESCs, DCVs, and more), including regulatory advisory, financial partnering, and manufacturing and marketing partner identification and negotiation- Potential acquisition/licensing target identification and strategy development for large Japanese pharma and conglomerates- Market research and analysis of domestic monoclonal antibody market for large domestic pharmaceutical manufacturer- Database production and maintenance for cell and gene therapies in development globally (incl. information such as vector/cell type, administration method, indication, etc.)Non pharma-related projects have included the following:-Support work for US apparel brand and its Japanese licensee, including document production and translation- Japanese partner negotiation support for large foreign logistics company- Domestic market analysis and strategy development for health and functional foods for a large Japanese high-end household brand- Domestic market and competitor analysis for alcoholic beverages (incl. whisky/bourbon, beer, spirits) for large foreign house of brands

Simultaneously seconded into ad-comm while at CJ PARTNERS. Ad-comm specific projects include:- Analysis of large living technology company's cultural activities and assets (including several galleries and museums) and subsequent strategic recommendation on how to better implement the assets in PR, marketing, and internal communications. Also suggested a restructuring plan to take advantage of potential tax and budget opportunities to ease the burden on the PR department's budget.- Collaborative proposal of an integrated branding and strategic think-tank/consultancy with a large Japanese consumer beverage company.- Market analysis of luxury bathtub and unit bath market in Japan as well as positioning and rebranding strategic proposal.- Material preparation and research support on several other projects spanning from luxury cosmetics to luxury and industrial automobiles to bridal services.

I opened our Beijing office and established our presence by developing growth strategies, acquiring human resources and allocating tasks to staff in both Beijing and our Hong Kong headquarters. I developed product positioning and advertising strategies to justify an expensive product in a price-sensitive market and maintained strong customer relationships that have spurred strong growth through word of mouth. This was accomplished even though our initial expectations of market preferences were off. Finally, I oversaw the career development of six staff members in a multicultural environment.

While I primarily developed curriculum for and taught our test prep classes (incl. SSAT, SAT, ACT, and GRE) and debate/critical thinking courses, I was active in developing our business operations as well. I evaluated our existing operations and subsequently spearheaded development of a custom CRM system to more efficiently manage all customer-facing and internal workflows. In preparation for local expansion, I analyzed potential strategies for growth by utilizing self-developed excel models. Furthermore, I developed marketing strategies and was involved in copy-editing and management of our web site.

As a recruiter at DeNA, I was primarily responsible for strategizing and executing university recruiting from the U.S. and India. However, I also actively participated in PR activities, such as initiating and spearheading a comprehensive redesign of our English web page and the development of both internal and external corporate communication materials.
