Seasoned executive experienced at running companies which are great places to work and great places to have an outside life. My career started as a developer(we were called programmers back in the day) writing software to operate one of the wind tunnels at Arnold Air Force Base(billed as "the most advanced and largest complex of flight simulation test facilities in the world"). I moved on after 5 years and moved to Huntsville AL where I worked for a variety of companies including Martin Marietta and Intergraph before I started my first company in 1993(called ABR Inc.). This was bought by Wirespeed Communications which was bought by RedHat in 2001. After taking a year off, I became President of Cabinet NG Inc. which is a document management software company (subsequently acquired by PsiGen in 2017). I served in that capacity for 13 years and retired in 2016. After a year or so in retirement, I started a software consulting firm called Cool Hand Consulting. My favorite line in the movie Cool Hand Luke is "what we have here is a failure to communicate" which is still the most common issue in the world. After all this work gets completed, it's time go play. I enjoy the outdoors and running trails. Huntsville is a perfect place to do that if you've never visited. I'm also a member of the Huntsville Track Club which is one of the oldest RRCA(Road Runners Clubs of America) clubs.
