Responsible for migration and administration of existing BigAir student networks across to the an in-house management platform as well as upgrade of existing under-performing infrastructure and identification of future points of failure to be mitigated. Additional 10k student rooms were merged with the existing system under a dedicated network team that remains lead by myself. Instigated integration with BigAir core administration networks as well as reviewing internal network policies and providing alternative future proof upgrade paths both on a physical and logical systems. This involves a large amount of travel around Australia as part of the BigAir NOC team to assist with research projects and unique customer solutions. Throughout the last 3 years (during my time with AccessPlus, who are now owned by BigAir) I have spent roughly 2-4 months away from home each year to personally attend and familiarise myself with larger sites as well as overseeing major service upgrades along with spending days or weeks at specific company offices across the country to work with teams on certain projects.
