I have 14 years of experience nurturing the practice of organic-sustainable agriculture and permaculture design in tropical regions. My international exposure, combined with academic and practical knowledge in the agricultural and botanical fields, has provided me with a solid foundation. Prior to joining the U.S. Peace Corps in 2018, I owned and operated my own successful business in both Florida and Hawai`i for 7 years.Throughout my career, I have taken the lead in organizing numerous activities and workshops for diverse audiences, including young students, adults, and rural farmers. These sessions covered a wide range of topics related to agriculture and herbalism. My dedication to education and outreach has allowed me to impact the lives of hundreds of individuals.I hold a bachelor's degree in Ethnomedicine and Plant Conservation, as well as Tropical Plant and Soil Science - Production Management, from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am an avid wildcrafter and herbalist, with a particular passion for edible and medicinal plants, as well as mushrooms. I constantly seek opportunities to expand my skills and knowledge in these areas.I am genuinely enthusiastic about connecting with fellow plant lovers, botanists, mycologists, and anyone with an interest in the natural world. If you share my passion or have a desire to learn more, please feel free to reach out and connect with me.
