About Andrew Marshall
Andrew is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) and a Principal Research Scientist at the Bureau of Meteorology.He is managing the Northern Australia Climate Program (NACP) at UniSQ and leading its Extension and Adoption program, with a focus on delivering outcomes for the grazing industry across the north.Andrew's research explores drivers of global climate variability and extremes on multi-week to multi-year timescales (blocking, SAM, MJO, monsoons, IOD, QBO, ENSO) in collaboration with Australian research groups.His affiliations include CLEX Partner Investigator, Adjunct Senior Researcher at the University of Tasmania, and CSIRO Affiliate.With a passion for science education, Andrew has been a partner in CSIRO's STEM Professionals in Schools Program, and President of the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society.
