Andrew Gottselig is the Founder and CEO of HoopLife Basketball Inc. and Citrus Technology Inc.Andrew's entrepreneurial journey started when he was 18 and began his first company, a basketball program in his hometown. In 2017, after spending over half a decade in insurance, Andrew founded HoopLife, a basketball lifestyle and training company.Over the past few years, HoopLife has become one of Canada's most prominent basketball academies, with thousands of athletes attending annually, both in person, online, and at our travel clinics.Andrew led the creation of the popular HoopLife App, a mobile training app that allows athletes to train from anywhere. He also spearheaded the most recent HoopLife project: a new 9,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in 2022, located in Regina, Saskatchewan.In 2024, HoopLife launched in Saskatoon and expanded travel clinics across Canada, offering basketball clinics nationwide.A few years into Andrew's journey with HoopLife, he discovered a problem: managing a youth program is time-consuming, stressful, and complex. To address this, he sought to implement business management software into HoopLife to continue growing and expanding.Andrew realized that the available solutions did not solve the problem of easy business management software for youth programs. This led him to found Citrus, a software solution that helps sports programs grow and operate with ease. Today, Citrus serves youth programs across North America.
