Maximized personal assets to secure a double-digit (i.e., 11%) victory, defeating a career politician incumbent. Utilized creative techniques to canvass registered voters in Los Angeles City Council District 14 (CD14) in support of candidate Ysabel Jurado by engaging with households in various neighborhoods within CD14. Worked alongside a campaign team, adjacent campaigns, and elected officials to build a network of support for CD14 and Ysabel Jurado.

I was a "go-to" for crafting novel legal arguments and theories of liability. I won 95%+ of the motions and oppositions I wrote. For instance I successfully opposed a motion to stay civil proceeding pending criminal action, which prevented delaying our client's right to justice. I created and implemented a winning template for motions to vacate dismissal orders. Also, I wrote and filed complaints against school districts for bullying and violence at schools that injured students and utilized public records and data to investigate property ownership, establish liability, or determine the necessity of a government claims.

I hit the ground running and defended automobile manufacturers against a high volume of consumer warranty litigation. Collaborating with other practice groups within the firm and industry experts, we achieved our clients’ goals. I was instrumental in mentoring other associates and staff. Also, I educated our clients and team by researching novel legal issues and presenting litigation strategies.

I expanded my practice areas and experience here greatly. We represented national retailers, restaurants, and startups, in a wide variety of practice areas including alcohol licensing, administrative law, municipal law, and land use. For example, I would analyzed the use of a particular location to assist clients entering new geographies (whether they could do what they wanted where they wanted) and consult with municipal governments to advance our clients’ interests/goals. Additionally, I was a key litigator at the firm. For instance, I was the second-chair trial attorney in a three-day arbitration. Also, I utilized AI-driven legal research tools to research, write and argue a motion, which compelled the disclosure and production of “confidential” documents, took and defended depositions, including expert witnesses.

We represented primarily franchisees, and small businesses against multinational corporations and industry leaders. I argued countless motions and oppositions in court, attended court hearings and conferences regularly. I wrote many winning briefs and successfully litigated commercial contracts and resolved business disputes. As a handling attorney, I managed over thirty active cases. I critically analyzed complex legal challenges, developed and implemented strategies to achieve our clients' goals. Representative matters: - Real Estate Law: Defended a billboard owner against a leading outdoor advertisement company and successfully defended against a preliminary injunction, which allowed my client to continue profiting from her property during the pendency of the lawsuit. - Employment Law: Negotiated a settlement for the entire amount of unpaid wages and damages demanded three days before trial.- Business Litigation: Quashed subpoenas for clients’ personal banking records in a corporate dispute among shareholders.- Civil Litigation: Won a motion for summary judgment in a commercial property dispute, which saved my client $13 million in potential liability.

Litigation Attorney (December 2017 – November 2018). [Ascended from Law Clerk (June 2016 – November 2017) after passing the California State Bar Exam.]Defended a jury trial and settled for a nominal amount midway through. I managed over 500 complex mass tort claims and conferred with plaintiff steering committees nationwide. I also litigated commercial matters, such as breach of contract claims and commercial lease disputes on behalf of small businesses and individuals.

We advocated on behalf of underrepresented individuals who are LQBTQIOA+. I supported staff attorneys by researching and assisting in trial preparation for defensive asylum and other immigration matters. I conducted intakes with potential clients, ran conflict checks for all potential clients, and scheduled appointments for clients with pro bono attorneys.We brainstormed with attorneys to find solutions for complex legal issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community. For instance finding safe housing for transgender individuals and filing housing or employment discrimination complaints.
