The position also leads the heritage function, including heritage decision making, heritage enforcement and compliance, and program delivery.The position is responsible for leading high priority and high-profile projects that require strong leadership and relationship management skills. The incumbent is an active member of the Planning executive leadership team and provide high level authoritative advice to the Minister for Planning and senior executives across the Victorian Government. The Executive Director is an active member of the Department’s senior leadership team, and contributes to an integrated, values-based approach to the development of long-term State and regional strategies.The position shapes and influences Victoria’s future planning and heritage systems, policies and projects and forges effective partnerships and networks across all levels of Government, industry and the community.
