I provide strategic legal advice to the ACCC staff and commissioners, mainly in relation to informal merger reviews and authorisations and notifications. I have advised on a number of high-profile matters, including the Virtus-Adora injunction matter, the TPG-Vodafone proceedings and the Sea Swift-Toll Tribunal authorisation. I have continued to advise the NCC, particularly in the various proceedings arising from the Glencore and NSW Minerals Council applications for declaration of the Port of Newcastle.

I was seconded to Treasury to assist with the significant increase in foreign investment applications following the introduction of the zero dollar threshold.

Initially seconded from the NCC to assist and advise the Tribunal in its consideration of authorisation applications by Murray Goulburn and AGL. My secondment was extended to the end of 2014 to assist and advise the Tribunal on a range of matters of policy and procedure.
