With a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters' degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, Andrew has a strong career in defence, automotive, aerospace, power generation and civil engineering sectors. He is a renowned expert in the fields of Fatigue, Fracture and Dynamics.As Director of Technology, Andrew heads R&D activities for HBK’s nCode product brand. The nCode software products provide fatigue and durability analysis from CAE concept design through full-scale testing and fleet durability monitoring. Over the years he’s introduced many new products including:• Vibration fatigue analysis • Crack growth simulation• Accelerated vibration testing• Proving ground optimization• Vibration qualification of helicopters• Thermo-mechanical fatigue analysis• Vehicle structural health monitoringAndrew has worked in consultancy with customers across the UK, Europe, Americas and the Far East. He has written publications on Fatigue Theory, Digital Signal Processing and Structural Health Monitoring (SHM); and is an internationally recognised presenter. He sits on the NAFEMS committee for Dynamic Testing.
