Veteran teacher with certification and background in secondary social studies and English Language Arts (ELA) who is currently working as a Youth Employment Counselor for Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council where I assist youth with barriers to find meaningful and high value work and internship experiences in order to enhance their skills and epxerience. I am experienced in business outreach and relationship building, grant funding and compliance, as well as recruitment and employment services. Through my experience as a teacher I am highly experienced in the design and implementation of lessons and curriculum, pedagogical methods and educational theory, as well as data analysis and the creation of interventions and solutions from that data. having worked in a diverese field of occupations from manufacturing, production, sales, as well my military experiencehas allowed me the opportunity to refine my skills in leadership, collaborative problem solving, troubleshooting, critical thinking, time management, attention to detail, and most importantly working as a team to achieve the goals of our organization.I come from a diverse background with the experience I am able to provide, to include: Serving in the United States Marine Corps in the Infantry where I was a combat veteran and Range Safety Officer and Marksmanship Coach. My goal is to someday take my passion into the private sector to help identify employees with criticals skills and potential for a company and eventually work along side these employees to develop their technical and soft skills to not only help them to achieve personal mastery, but in turn help a company succeed in its mission and grow productivity with a highly skilled workforce.
