Andrew has been responsible for implementing and continually improving Inmarsat Global Ltd Information Security Management System (ISMS) which achieved accredited external certification against the ISO27001 Standard in 2018, 2021 and 2024. Following an acquisition, he now leads the development of, and continually improves the corporate ISMS for Viasat, consisting of cybersecurity governance, risk management and compliance activities for the world’s leading global mobile satcom business across their Maritime, Aviation, and Government business units. He ensures that all systems within the organisation’s global satellite network are compliant with ISO 2700x as well as NIST standards and guidelines.Andrew collaborates with stakeholders across the organisation’s global footprint to write, update, and implement internationally applied processes, policies and procedures. He works with accredited certification bodies and manages a team of auditors who support a global audit programme that assures top management that the organisation’s control framework operates with the agility to adapt to the dynamic nature of today’s cybersecurity threats.Andrew believes in lifelong learning and is currently undertaking Henley’s Senior Leadership MBA. His professional experience is further backed up by a 1st Class MSc in Computer Forensics, and has a University of Maastricht Data Protection Officer qualifiction. He is the author of a research paper and handbook on ISO27001 adoption by the top 100 UK law firms.
