After graduating, I spent 4 months travelling around Southeast Asia learning about the cultures, food and seeing first hand the negative impact our lack of recycling infrastructure and neglect for sustainability has in the broader world. Upon graduation, I became the High Pressure Polyethylene Process Engineer where I supported Polymerization and Finishing (Extrusion Solids Handling) where I improved sustainability by finding outlets for materials that would otherwise have gone to landfill, improved production and reliability to historic levels and increased revenue by multiple millions per year. For the last year and a half, I have been a Business Analyst specializing in Data Visualization, Data Automation, Business Intelligence and Reporting for GCGV, a greenfield new construction, state of the art Chemicals complex outside Corpus Christi, TX with the world's largest ethane cracker, two LLDPE reactors and a MEG unit. Recognizing a need for Data Visualization and Business Intelligence and a lack of knowledge at GCGV, I self-taught myself Tableau, SQL, Python and a suite of other tools to create first-in-class tools for GCGV and ExxonMobil.Prior to my current career, I worked at a small scale specialty manufacturing firm in Atlanta where I managed inventory, warehousing, production and customer service.
