As the Head of Teaching at Developers Institute, I lead a team of instructors who deliver high-quality web development education to full-time students. I ensure that the processes, materials, and assessments are clear, documented, and aligned with the industry standards and best practices. I also provide support and guidance to the instructors, and facilitate their professional development and collaboration.I have over 20 years of experience as a web developer, working on a variety of projects and platforms, from small websites to large applications, for clients such as Sony, Panasonic, Comvita, Zespri, and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. I have extensive knowledge and skills in front-end and full-stack technologies, such as ReactJS, Redux, GatsbyJS, TypeScript, .Net Core, and Azure. I have also mentored and coached junior developers, and contributed to the agile and collaborative culture of the teams I worked with.My mission is to share my passion and expertise in web development with the next generation of developers, and to help them achieve their learning and career goals. I am also committed to continuous learning and improvement, and to staying updated with the latest trends and innovations in the field. I hold a NZ Certificate in Assessment Practice L4 and a Digital and Collaborative Teaching and Learning micro-credential (Level 8), which demonstrate my competence and dedication to effective and engaging teaching and learning.
