Native of California, I moved to Arkansas as a child and was brought up in a very technologically-stricken environment. Electronics have always interested me since my childhood. How do these things work? Why do they work? I remember my first DOS terminal and taking apart the case, not knowing a single thing about circuit boards, memory sticks, or hard drives. I just knew that I wanted to understand the mechanics. After taking a keen interest in computers (and the "joys" of dialup), I became obsessed, and eventually completed two degree programs in Computer Networking and Information Systems Technology while working as a computer technician for my college. My experiences since college have been nothing short of extraordinary. I was involved with a construction company to install automated building control systems utilizing (now ancient) existing networks. Involvement included coordination with the school district's I.T. Department of Marion County in Columbia, Mississippi and setup of a portal which allowed us to monitor the systems and achieve the most efficient use of the new HVAC and Johnson Control system recently destroyed by Hurricane Rita (quite the adventure). After almost 2 decades of solving computer, database, networking, and peripheral troubleshooting, I traded up to live in the beautiful sunny state of Colorado to grow medicine for those in need. Cancer has taken many close family and friends from me, and this is my way of contributing to those suffering. In the end, my goal has always been the same, the desire to help others.
