Moving development of a solar/battery pipeline forward across nine Southeastern states in PJM, MISO South and SERC. Projects of note: Chalkley Solar, Lake Charles, LA 375MW – MISO South; Sandy Road Solar, Elizabeth City, NC 200MW plus 99MW net zero request using capacity of existing Desert Wind Project – PJM; Dawson Solar, Dawson, GA 150MW - SERC, Brenneman Solar, Montezuma, GA, 150MW - SERC; North Fork Solar, Unionville, TN 150MW - SERC. Leading a team of internal subject matter specialists and external consultants toward a goal of project construction. Mentoring junior developer to assist with continued growth of Avangrid’s Southeast presence. Built support for and received discretionary permits for Chalkley Solar and Brenneman Solar. Completed sale of 150MW Brenneman Solar project. Designed a strategy for Avangrid to enter the solar/battery market across the Southeast. Implemented development strategy by greenfield site prospecting and acquisition, resulting in more than 1000MW of middle to late-stage projects and 500MW of early-stage projects.

Renewable energy consulting for companies and landowners pursuing wind and solar energy development.South Carolina Landowner GroupConsulting with landowners considering leasing land to a wind energy development company by reviewing lease agreements and developing a strategy for negotiation.FLS Energy & National Renewable Energy Company (NARENCO)Greenfield site prospecting and land leasing of utility-scale solar energy projects across North Carolina. Currently signing agreements with landowners.  Chose six qualified NC counties and prospected 15+ viable site locations in each.

Orchestrated project components including wind resource, permitting, engineering, and land acquisition toward construction along with developing trusting relationships with landowners and local community leaders where project sites were located. Exceeded goals within $3 million budgets and successfully managed contractors’ scope of work. Led 300MW Desert Wind Project during extended leave of senior developer, driving the project through the Economic Development Incentive Grant negotiations with Pasquotank and Perquimans Counties and the North Carolina Utilities Commission Permit Application.  Assumed lead on 64 MW High Lonesome and 84MW Cumberland Heights Projects, continuing to lease land, collect wind data, guide through permitting, and nurtured relationships with landowners and local officials moving toward construction. Closed 60-year lease and right-of-way agreements on final 20% of landowners in the Desert Wind Project and Cumberland Heights project allowing for full permitting and movement toward construction. Evaluated 40 qualified greenfield wind energy site locations resulting in four viable wind energy project assets adding to company’s project development pipeline including: 300MW Desert Wind Project in Pasquotank and Perquimans Counties, NC, 150MW Hales Lake Project in Camden County, NC, 64MW High Lonesome Project in Floyd County, VA, and 80MW Cumberland Heights Project in Grundy County, TN. Located 12 viable 10-20MW greenfield solar site locations across Tennessee through use of ArcGIS and Google Earth Pro, initiating Iberdrola Renewables entrance into the southeastern United States solar market.  Assured validity of agreements by reviewing 70+ leases across four projects for accuracy, completeness and deed recording. Responded to questions and concerns from landowners and company legal team.

Initiated greenfield wind energy site prospecting in the southeastern United States by using Google Earth Pro, ArcGIS, online resources and site visits. Mentored with multiple senior developers obtaining a broader understanding of the development process. Located 40 qualified greenfield wind energy site locations across five southeastern states for two senior developers, giving Iberdrola Renewables a first-mover advantage in the southeastern United States. Initiated contact with landowners and local officials to determine feasibility of project so allocated development budget was most efficiently used to gain high quality assets. Located forty qualified greenfield wind energy site locations across five southeastern states for two senior developers.

Managed $3 million budget with $15 million loan portfolio and responsible for retail branch location as an independent business unit. Developed a competent committed team and coached them through career advancement, along with all human resource functions including reviews and goal setting. Graduate of Leadership Development Program. Nurtured synergistic relationships with wealth management, business bankers and local business market to increase branch deposits and loans, meeting annual sale goals.  Led team of seven employees to achieve corporate-set sales and client service goals each year while staying under budgeted expenses during challenging economic conditions.
