Responsible for front-end trading application. Worked with all groups in the company to strategically redesign all aspects of this application, paying careful attention during this process to user experience, performance optimization, and maintainability. Devised implementation plan, initial testing plan, and coded substantial amounts of new functionality (Win32, C++, Qt, FIX). Created an applications team of 7 people, and managed ongoing development, interacting with other groups in the company, customers, and 3rd party vendors to continually enhance the front-end offering.

Responsible for gathering requirements, designing, and implementing an automated back office clearing system, enabling a small compliance group to manage a high volume of customer trading activity on a daily basis. The system was built in RedHat Linux, with a Postgres database, C++/Perl middle-tier, and Perl/Mason/HTML/Javascript user-interface. This system remains in use today.

Worked with rural communities in Guinope, Honduras to provide training to local water boards on water system maintenance and improvement. Performed water quality tests and educated community on health concerns related to water and the environment.

Acquired by Earthlink in October of 2002.Designed and implemented ISP management solution for sale to and deployment by virtual ISPs. Provided technical vision and business guidance while working closely with other co-founders in planning the future of the company. Customers of Merado's Dialup Management System included PeoplePC and Earthlink.

Worked directly with CTO and VP of Engineering to design and implement client/server software solution for consumer Internet access. Achieved distribution to more than 5,000,000 users and supported more than 1,000,000 concurrently. Managed 10 person engineering team.

Worked on design and implementation of solution to provide high speed Internet access to hotel guest rooms, meeting spaces, and back offices. Helped write the server side of an IP translation server as part of a small project team, and interacted with a sales and marketing staff to facilitate our buyout. Environment was primarily Linux, including kernel development.
