Provide leadership, planning, oversight and management for all areas of IT operations including, strategy, development, and implementation. Oversee daily activities related to IT functions including desktop support for the organization’s 750 employees over 15 sites, data systems integration, telecommunications, managerial and external reporting, and oversight of the Electronic Health Record and Case Management systems.

Set and implement the IT strategic plan for the city’s public law library, an independent 501(c)(3) membership institution serving 1.5 million citizens and 6,500 attorney members. Oversee 22 FTEs and manage day-to-day activities of the Information Technology and Application Development departments. Work with the Board and Executive Director on administrative issues, such as membership, funding, endowment investment management, pension oversight, and staff management.Oversaw an integrated Salesforce CRM / Drupal 7 CMS implementation, and coordinated efforts of staff and external consultants to build a PCI-DSS compliant e-commerce integration that processes annual membership payments, which make up over $1 million of the library’s budget.Built and documented library-specific applications to enable library members to access over 65,000 online legal treatises, law reviews, and online research applications. In 2017 the system supported 139,412 user sessions and millions of material downloads. Deployment on AWS enabled near 100% uptime.

Provide leadership and coordination for the planning, implementation, and administration of technology services consistent with the library’s strategic plan and values.  Primary administrator for digital and IT services including the library’s network infrastructure, Windows 2012 R2 and Ubuntu 14.04 & 16.04 servers, ERP and accounting systems, multiple websites, and mobile technologies. Manage desktop support for 90 private and public workstations. Lead IT, Development, Digitization, Technical Services groups (Max of 11 FTEs, 1 PT), and related vendors. Responsible for planning, implementation, and maintenance of all IT initiatives and their supporting systems.Oversee and aid in application development for the website, ERP, CRM, intranet, and invoicing systems.Migrated all public-facing digital services offsite for “five nine” high-availability. These include the website, virtual reference services, CRM, ERP, email, and e-marketing systems.Established next-day patch capabilities to push updates for common applications within 24 hours of release. Focused on insecure software such as Java and Flash.

Maintained internal software systems, including the website, invoicing, intranet, and CRM system. Aided the Network Administrator’s efforts to support the library’s network infrastructure. Oversaw content acquisition and digitization of county court opinions for use by strategic partners.Led project to integrate the organization’s CRM system with the website, enabling a customized, permission-based user experience for members.Worked closely with three departments to develop a reliable business intelligence system, which tracks circulation, database, and facility usage patterns of patrons.

Led labs for INFO151, Web Systems and Services. Covered web technologies from basic HTML/CSS to regular expressions (RegExp), Javascript and server-side technologies like PHP and MySQL. Completed all grading of assignments and tests and supported students in special sessions.

Represented Heidelberg University to potential students throughout the year and at open houses and off-campus events. Worked extensively with the school’s Banner Information System. Assisted with the creative design of some office publications, such as feedback forms and acceptance certificates for potential or incoming students.

Managed Heidelberg’s Student Union, which included several common areas, a fitness center, a restaurant, and the campus bookstore.

Prepared custom graphics each weekday for the station's flagship "Live at Five" community television cablecast, including weather slides and animation, OTS (Over the shoulder) graphics, and two-tier lower third graphics.Utilized GIMP for most design, and implemented the final products into the station's Trinity Graphics system using Trinity Title Wave.Operated the Trinity Graphics System using Trinity Air Command during live shows.Served on the Executive Board, responsible for station leadership.

Helped youth residents in the juvenile detention center with their school coursework, particularly in the areas of mathematics and English composition, and supported the instructors’ lessons on an individual or small group basis.

Aided the manager of the school system’s General Fund, helped to audit and restructure the county’s petty cash accounts, and developed database applications to improve staff productivity.Developed Microsoft Access databases and Excel spreadsheet applications to help other employees streamline bank reconciliations and perform regular account maintenance.
