• Created installation drawings, part drawings, drawing revisions, and drawing redlines to be compliant with defense production standards. Ensured documentation for each model, master document, and ECO file were satisfactory in the EPDM system.• Designed a shelter airflow / temperature probe kit to monitor ECU performance and ensure operating conditions are acceptable. Consulted with vendors, sourced components, created CAD model and installation drawing, and began work on an Interface Control Document for the kit. • Reverse engineered a lens cap and had it 3D printed, saving the company approximately $20,000.• Helped setup CNC Router, wrote operating manual for it, and prepared to setup tooling paths to manufacture the reverse engineered lens caps. Ran default programs and created a new spoil board using the manual functions of the router.• Created an ECU Power Requirement Calculator that determines tonnage of cooling required in a shelter based on different inputs such as shelter volume, number of occupants, climate, desired temperature, and electrical equipment in the shelter.• Assisted with basic damage analysis / repair of composites and consulted with the Space Systems Group regarding space-craft composites and composite repair.• Calculated hardware tolerance stack-ups to ensure specified hardware would be compliant for Government QA.

SUSPENSION TEAM LEAD:Managed a team of 6 individuals and was responsible for creating timelines, delegating tasks, organizing meetings, and making sure all design deliverables were met. Focused primarily on the entire design of the rear suspension with two other engineering students. Involved heavily with subsystem integration ensuring the chassis, drivetrain, and suspension all integrated properly. • Produced detailed CAD models of the vehicles rear suspension in SolidWorks (over 20 custom manufactured components) Performed basic FEA in SolidWorks.• Performed hand calculations to determine the bending stress FoS of the suspension control arms, the bending stress FoS of the rod-ends, both the buckling and tension FoS in the upper rear suspension link, and estimated tire compression.• Went through many design iterations including two entire re-designs of the rear suspension. Presented designs in both a PDR and CDR. • Spent over 100 hours in the machine shop manufacturing custom uprights, control arms, bungs, etc. Involved 3-axis CNC milling procedures, use of the lathe, tube notcher, roll-in band saw, TIG welding, arbor press, micrometer, etc. • Performed Instron testing on the air shocks to gather force-displacement curves for various shock settings. Performed rear suspension testing with spring potentiometers and subsequently analyzed the data in MATLAB. Was able to calculate shaft speeds, shock displacement, vertical & lateral vehicle acceleration (with MoTec 3-axis Accelerometer), and determined landing behavior of the vehicle.FINANCIAL MANAGER:Responsible for planning, organizing, and enforcing the teams budget of roughly $15,000. Managed multiple financial accounts and was also in charge of sponsorship outreach. Our efforts raised over $6,500 for the 2018 team. • Involved daily communication with over 35 vendors, potential sponsors, current sponsors, the team director, the Senior Design Financial Advisor, volunteer advisors, and the team itself.

I am working unpaid for the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship and better understand business. I attend weekly meetings with the directors, where we discuss the past deliverables, current state, and future goals of the non-profit organization. I reviewed the website flow to optimize conversion rates, which increased leads resulting in up to $10,000 per year in co-working memberships. I made space improvements, reducing 2 hours of labor per week and saving $2,000 per year. I also used excel to compile and organize data gathered through surveys.
