• Led various new development efforts for integrating and analysing customer advertising data into our systems.• Implemented integrations for Salesforce and Placements.IO data using a configuration-driven approach toward giving the services teams the ability to make minor updates and potentially create their own integrations.• Implemented a way to create and minimize boolean expressions used for targeting advertisements (audience segments) in a deterministic way, in which logically equivalent expressions can be cached and reused. The solution is much more easily maintained and enhanced compared to previous versions.• Solved issues that plagued our production support for quarterly OperativeOne feed upgrades, to dynamically map to csv file columns and ignore data changes not needed in our systems.• Helped with the implementation effort to integrate and process data to enable forecasting advertising inventory for the new Xandr TV Platform.

• Maintained and enhanced the processing and normalization of 3rd party data feeds for our customers. This includes AdServer and Data Management Platform (DMP) log files using hadoop and an ETL pipeline used for forecasting advertising inventory for AppNexus/Yieldex customers.• Integrated Order Management System (OMS) data from APIs and flat-file deliveries for customers into our systems.• Implemented Event Processing Language (EPL) based notifications using the EsperTech open-source libraries.• Supported Production systems, and solved production issues.• Mentored and gave guidance to teammates and coworkers on our systems, code quality, and implementation details on various projects and enhancements.

• Led the design and implementation of the next generation Task Management Product for JDA. • The JDA Task Management product is currently sold to and used by large retail organizations internationally.• Features include a modular, scalable design, and Restful APIs using the JSON data format by default. • The application also features a generic Reference Data model, enabling custom modeling of a Customer’s business. This gives customers the ability to grow and adapt their Task Management needs as their business needs change.• Designed the logic for distributing tasks to be agnostic of the Reference Data Model. We provided visibility and accountability of tasks based on the context of the publisher, and the context of the resource taking action on the task itself (in this case, a resource could be an employee, system, etc.).• The Task Management product was implemented using Java, Apache Karaf, OrientDB, Restlet, Cellar, Groovy and Gradle. • Designed and implemented a flexible performance testing framework for modeling users of different roles, realistically model requests and load, of the application’s APIs – Groovy, JSON• Led the transfer of knowledge and responsibility, of the Task Management legacy and next generation products, to a team in India for 5 months (due to the merger between RedPrairie and JDA).

• Integrated the Retail Task Management (RTM) product with the RedPrairie platform (RPWeb). This effort included integrating authentication and authorization models of RTM into RPWeb, merging in legacy UI screens and features into RPWeb, all without compromising our ability to sell the RTM product as either legacy, or integrated with the RedPrairie product suite – Java, Servlet, Spring, Javascript, CSS, JUnit, EHCache, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server• Led the design and prototyping effort for the next generation of Task Management software, using the following technologies: Java, Restlet, Mockito, Neo4J, OrientDB, Apache Karaf

• Replaced the stagnant home-grown build system and reorganized the source code (500,000+ lines), decreasing the build-time of binaries from 20 to 3 minutes, which increased the development productivity of the team – BuildR (ruby based build framework), Bash & Batch Scripting.• Designed, implemented new User Interfaces along with the supporting RESTful API services, which were integrated with our legacy RTM – Java, Javascript, Restlet, FlexJSON, ExtJS, JSLint.

• I developed advanced user interfaces for our browser plugin using the latest in client-side technologies at the time (ajax, javascript). This product allowed users to surf with their friends in real-time and enabled them to share and chat about web sites – Javascript, CSS, AJAX, Dojo (Javascript Framework)

• Helped to implement business processes for a major healthcare provider, saving them money by switching to Sun products.• Ported a small startup company’s User Interface to use Microsoft’s VirtualEarth for a capital campaign presentation to Microsoft itself. The product used mashups to show the tracking of fleet vehicles.• Helped to build a platform for a major news company to make financial market data available online in real-time. This was a Java-based solution using EHCache and Terracotta, and helped mitigate costs paid to data providers.

• Worked on a team developing a web application for a major retailer. Most of my development was in the UI and middle tiers. The application facilitated accountability tracking between the retailer, its vendors, and vendor reps. We used mostly Struts and Hibernate. I learned and applied Scrum, Pair Programming and Test-Driven Development methodologies.

• Managed the transition of FDA regulated corporate and international websites (multi-language support) from basic HTML into an XML based content management solution. Developed XSL for transforming XML content into DHTML, Javascript, CSS and JSP. Developed XSL transformations from an XML content file into XSLFO and WordML files for PDF and Word generation. Traveled extensively for customer support of the project.

• Project Lead for an application that converted the functionality of various C++ programs into a fully configurable XML and Octave based Data Transformation Language (included planning, design, implementation, integration and testing). Developed a C++ application for generating C++ classes and DTD files to interface with XML configuration files. Developed a build process and rpm creation process for various software packages we developed.

Developed an XML generated help website for the APT Platform an XML repository source, XML/XSLT generated web controls, content and contextual filtering. Developed Multi-level drop-down menus and other dynamic GUI controls to separate content, structure and presentation.
