Employed full-time as a Behavior Technician with the Santa Clara Unified School District in Santa Clara, California. I work primarily in early intervention therapy with children ages 3 - 5 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other cognitive and developmental delays. Depending on the needs of each specific child, we tailor our behavior management approach as either an intensive 1:1 individual session or a push-in session where we provide support to the child in the natural classroom setting. As a long-term employee, I am also responsible for a variety of tasks that go beyond direct care. I organize the scheduling of a 12-15 person staff, edit the bi-weekly individualized progress updates that are provided to parents, and assist with coordination of the training program that each newly hired employee undergoes in their first two weeks of employment.
