I am a junior accounting student at Miami University in Oxford, OH. I have always been interested in a career in the business world and I think the best way to achieve this goal is to get both in-classroom and hands-on experience in the Farmer School of Business.I plan to obtain an internship in the accounting or finance field sometime in the upcoming year. If possible, I would like to specifically work in the forensic accounting field. This career path combines two things I am passionate about: forensic investigation and business. While this is the end goal, I will still be happy in any position or experience that will help to prepare me for my future.Through my past experiences I have developed skills that will make my jobs easier in the future. All of my past positions have taught me both communication and teamwork skills which I believe are vital in almost any career path you can choose. Additionally, I learned leadership and organizational skills in my position as a head lifeguard. I now want find a career or internship that will allow me to combine and further develop these skills.
