Hi, I’m Andrew Lance! Recreation has been my passion since an early age, especially sports, but I realized early on that I would not grow up to be a professional athlete. Instead, I decided to stick with what I loved, and see the enjoyment others get from being active, playing, and learning. I am the Parks and Recreation Manager for the City of Lexington Parks and Recreation Department. I have extensive experience with recreational facilities, management of leagues and programs, as well as the marketing and financial side of the business.I am skilled in all types of recreational programming for both youth and adult participants, as well as the facility and park management side of recreation. I have managed the Facebook pages and website for these businesses, and effectively targeted desired demographics within our markets. In my roles I have gained new abilities and skills by learning basic coding and HTML formatting, and using them in website design and email formatting.I am a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) through the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA), and also a Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO) through the National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF).
