Senior developer responsible for multiple aspects of https://artrepreneur.com, an artists-network platform, both client and server. Architecture is microservice-based Meteor/Node JS/React applications served via AWS ECS docker-based infrastructure. Responsible for major stability, performance, security, and maintainability upgrades via both infrastructure and support tools/services as well as via broad refactoring of the codebase. Mentors junior coders in client/server programming and in tools and services. Technologies/tools/services utilized on a daily basis: MongoDB 4.0, Node JS 4/6/8/10 and Meteor up to 1.7, Javascript ES6/ES7, CSS3/SASS, AWS (ECS, EC2, S3, ELB/ALB, CloudWatch), Terraform, SSH, Git, BitBucket pipelines, and more. Features added include Stripe/billing support, SSL/HTTPS only, Facebook and ORCiD integrations, Subscription features handling and validation, automatic emails and triggers.

Responsible for a wide range of projects. Enhanced original Java back end with new features. Ported full Java-based API services to Node/Javascript and built services for totally new dashboard served via Node + Express + Mongoose. Defined deployment processes from Github to Codeship to AWS Elastic Beanstalk. Built full billing and client plan solution using Billforward’s API and webhook callbacks with Node. Built out services to handle client notifications via websockets for tens of thousands of simultaneous clients. Lastly, I created a topic-modeling service to parse website articles with Python (2.7) utilizing Gensim and its Latent Dirichlet Allocation modeling atop Anaconda (NumPy and SciPy) deployed via Docker. For all projects, used multiple third-party services such as Sentry, Mandrill, New Relic, Slack, and AWS (S3, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, ElastiCache/Redis, SQS, SES, DynamoDB).

Coded from scratch to finish the Flash movie-like application for CiFiCoTM, a wholly unique financial planning application site (www.cifico.com). Users define their generalized accounts and assets for themselves and for their family members and can then launch the “movie” to scrub back and forth through time to see how everything fares through time, including inheritances and potential adverse events. The movie utilizes Stage3D via Starling and Away3D to present a full 3D game-like presentation of the user’s finances. I also developed two iOS enterprise-only apps in Objective-C. One is a simple FTP application to upload pictures or video to a company repository. The other is a marketing app to display select marketing initiatives.Also built out a large e-commerce project for EO Products, creating a fully responsive single-page-application with HTML5, Javascript, and CSS3 hooking directly into EO’s products and content managed on their ERP platform. Technologies used include Backbone, Handlebars, Sass, NodeJS, JSON, Ajax and cross-domain support, and much more.

Built four AS3/Flash games along with a team leaderboard display. I also developed a PHP/MySQL admin tool for updating assets, questions, and team/match reporting. The overall project was to teach and track the capabilities of the Tag Heuer sales force on their products (watches and movements.) Also architected and prototyped in Java 7 with Spring a digital signage system utilizing third-party facial recognition software and webcams to track live impressions and to trigger sign rotations based on viewer metrics.

Working with a high-powered development team on Ogilvy’s in-house workflow application utilizing Flex/Actionscript on the front end with a PHP (Cake/AMFPHP) back end. This is in place now for their Redworks Digital New York studio and is to be rolled out across their offices globally in the spring of 2010. A CRUD-based app, it handles all aspects and assets of digital, print, and broadcast project workflow, from concept to approval to final delivery to the client. I’ve built out their URL template framework for implementing and validating proper URL placement and construction (for clicktags, etc) within HTML and email project assets. I’ve also added a survey system whereby client and team members can provide feedback on the overall project experience.

Developed multiple Flex Cairngorm-based client/server applications for a number of Tag’s clients using both ColdFusion and PHP on the server side. They include: a secure file sharing and asset preview tool with custom client skinning via Flex CSS and XML configuration files to set properties and styles at run-time; an in-house marketing execution management scheduler for a majorFortune-100 company; and an in-house vote-based asset-approval tool. I worked closely with the lead developer on project planning, architecture, and scoping, and helped devise workflows and daily scrums. I also developed and helped with the coding for rich-media ad banners, integrating with various APIs such as Papervision3D, Pointroll and Google Maps.

Managed and developed Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop.com launch. Recoded, refactored and managed Reindeer’s LiveGamesNetwork Rails application. Developed various in-house tools for maintaining servers, projects, and managing Reindeer’s client workflow.

Developed an online 3D golf game with Actionscript 3.0 (Flash client) for UBS (the ​UBS Challenge​.) Implemented all game-play code, physics, and 3D and all interface controls and views. Developed an RSS reader Widget in Adobe Flex for Daily Tips from SELF.com and implemented a Ruby on Rails backend to handle all RSS updates and scheduling. Further developed Rails app into a customizable RSS-and-XML CMS for future Sanborn Media Factory clients and projects. Built SMF’s Widgeteria with a demo Widget that handles video/audio streaming, simple emails, and database interaction via a Rails back-end.

Employed by Black Hammer Productions to port their Java API to ActionScript and utilized API to build kiosk displays for The Museum of Natural History. Also spearheaded development of ​Dora the Explorer in Candyland​ game for Nick Jr.
