EirGrid operates and develops the electricity transmission system in Ireland and more recently, has been mandated to operate, develop and own Ireland’s offshore grid. Reporting to the financial reporting lead I worked in a 30-person finance team on a Microsoft dynamics ERP system with the following responsibilities:• Assisting in the preparation of the IFRS group annual reports and subsidiary financial statements.• Presented monthly to the CFO on the Groups performance and provided commentary for variances versus budget.• Acted as the Finance Business Partner to the Chief Financial Officer, helping finance staff track their spend against budget and preparing the finance officermonthly accruals.• Responsible for the preparation of monthly & quarterly management accounts for group and subsidiary entities. Ensuring all monthly journals are posted correctly.• Assisted in the groups budgeting and forecasting processes for multiple cost centers

I was employed in the Asset and Wealth Management Department of the firms audit practice. I completed a 3.5 year graduate programme between 2019 and 2023 before signing a permanent contract to continue as an Assistant Manager.I was primarily involved in the audits of alternative investment funds investing into the Irish Real Estate Sector across a number of different asset class such as Residential Developments , Apart-hotels & Logistical buildings.I also gained exposure to the medium and large sized investments funds of varying strategies including hedge funds, UCITS and private equity.I have experience auditing Irish GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS investment funds in accordance with ISAs and US GAAS.
