While pursuing my BS, I managed a make-your-own-dinner concept store. I booked and ran group sessions (prepped ingredients, assisted customers in assembling meals, etc), trained new hires, and maintained the operations of the business. This helped pay the bills for a while in college, and taught me a bit about running your own franchise.

While working at Landwright LLC learning landscape architecture, I started a landscape design company as a side project. I identified prospective clients, drafted plans and proposals, and organized construction of custom landscape revitalizations. I put 15-20 hours into Gould Landscape design each weekend, and shut it down when I reenrolled in college during the financial crisis. It was a great entrepreneurial lesson in capacity.
