I collaborated with my counterpart on a project to draw a 9 foot skeleton on the wall that would be used for patient education. I was elected by my fellow peers to a position on the Volunteer Advisory Council to represent my cohort to the Peace Corps Staff. While on the council I worked to raise the volunteer stipend, facilitate better training, and address other issues that volunteers were facing. It was a great opportunity to practice leadership, work collaboratively, and ultimately bring results that brought a better experience for staff and volunteers.
