“What makes me different than other loan officers is I’m relationship-based, not transactional,” says Senior Mortgage Consultant Andrew Luett. “The industry trends of consolidation and internet-based call centers gives me the opportunity to differentiate myself by providing a personalized level of customer service.”Luett, originally from Iowa City, Iowa, received the collegiate Evans Scholarship and graduated in 1998 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. After graduation, he was offered a position as a loan officer assistant for a Chicago-based mortgage company. Gradually, Luett began to grow his 100-percent organic, referral-based business from the ground up.Luett has been the recipient of the Wintrust Mortgage President’s Circle Award nine times. Additionally, he achieved the nationwide 2022 Scotsman Guide Top Loan Originator award. “My ability to help my clients find the best fit mortgage option has been instrumental to my success in lending,” he says. Luett is known for being upfront and honest, always taking a consultative approach with his clients. “In the current housing market, it’s imperative my clients make an informed decision when presenting an offer for a property,” he says. “My goal during the loan approval process is to ensure my customers will feel confident, knowing all aspects of their loan application are accurate and handled in a timely manner.”Luett, his wife, Celia, and their four children have resided in Glenview since 2012. He is a proud hockey dad of three boys and one daughter, who competes in figure skating. As a family, they enjoy traveling and cheering on Chicago sports teams. Luett is a member of the Glenview Chamber of Commerce, is actively involved in his community and has served on a number of boards. In August 2020, he helped start a Glenview softball league of dads, named The League of Very Ordinary Gentlemen. Today, the league consists of eight teams with over 120 members and 30 sponsors. Luett says, “LVOG advocates for the physical and mental health of its members. Our league also supports local businesses and works with charitable, non-profit organizations to provide Glenview youth sports and performing arts scholarships.”
