Our system made use of a custom and cutting-edge heat pump-based thermal storage/distribution system to make the most of the available solar thermal energy. We were able to meet all space heating and domestic hot water requirements with an estimated solar fraction of over 80%.Additional duties included coordination of contractor and volunteer effort, as well as presentation of the system to the public.Team North finished fourth out of twenty teams at the event.
