As the owner and leader of Legal Heat, I was privileged to build and lead a terrific team of attorneys, instructors, marketers, and customer service representatives to become the undisputed leading trainer of firearms safety and the law. We grew from providing instructor-led classes for 10,000 students annually in 12 states and 41 locations with 6 instructors to 50,000+ students in 40+ states at 230 sites with 100+ instructors. We increased revenue and EBITDA by 3.5x. We also designed, built, and implemented a custom online Learning Management System (LMS) and an Event Management System (EMS) to train over 15,000 students annually online and manage 7,500+ instructor-led classes servicing over 40,000 students at 230 locations. I also sourced, negotiated, and signed industry-first, nationally exclusive, and preferred provider contracts with Cabela's, Bass Pro, Sportsman's Warehouse, North 40, and Mace International.I am also proud of the quality of our services and the high customer ratings we received, including 4.9 stars on Google, Facebook, and Angi. Legal Heat was rated Accredited A+ by The Better Business Bureau.We sold Legal Heat to a specialized equity group in July 2021.
