RadiantREIT provides solar project finance loans to small/medium sized developers. Phase one involved meeting with investors while developing the Radiant solar loan structure, writing its solar credit policy, preparing underwriting models and working with attorneys to produce template loan/term sheet documents.Phase two involved the engagement with developers in order to move projects from application to the loan closing stage. This required the preparation of project models, underwriting memos, presentation to the Radiant investment committee and the issuance of term sheets. Post approval is the preparation and negotiation of loan docs through to booking and funding of each loan with third party service providers. Portfolio management reports are prepared quarterly that includes actual vs expected electric production as well as exposure tracking by developer, state, offtaker and panel manufacturer.

Responsible for the overall risk management of the clean technology portfolio, including credit underwriting, portfolio management and customer service with an industry focus on project finance for solar, wind, CHP, fuel cells, battery storage and energy efficient lighting. Detailed knowledge of solar sale/leaseback transactions as well as a wide range of project finance debt, tax equity and leasing structures.• Analyze and underwrite renewable energy project finance transactions to ensure consistent and acceptable levels of credit quality and risk.• Knowledge of through the deal client experience working in close collaboration with relationship managers and customers to create new debt/leasing structures to accommodate customer specific transaction requirements.• Co-chair of the credit committee responsible for clean technology/project finance transactions.• Develop, enhance and maintain risk management policies, procedures and processes for renewable energy portfolio and ensuring member distribution. Wrote the DLL risk/procedure policy for underwriting solar project finance transactions and Clean Technology Risk Acceptance Criteria.• Preparation of quarterly portfolio management reports with respect to direct and indirect project finance exposures and report to Eindhoven based Global Risk Committee (DLL is a subsidiary of Rabobank).• Mentor and educate both the sales team and risk analysts regarding market best practices and industry risk specialization.

Development and execution of a marketing outreach strategy to increase awareness of Clipper Wind Power’s technology and corporate history to the finance market. Provided financial advisory services to small and medium sized wind developers to generate additional sales.The outreach strategy was a success. Banks closed 5 financings for 353MW of Clipper projects that raised in excess of $360 million in debt for customers.Instrumental in closing the 1st US EXIM bank financing for a wind power generation project in Mexico.Created additional sales through the preparation of marketing materials and speaking at industry conferences on financial, technical and export related topics.Arranged a $322 million receivable purchase facility from bank group RBS/CA-CIB to support the sale of 2 Clipper Windpower development assets to a major mid-western utility.Extensive industry contacts developed thorough ongoing meetings and due diligence trips in the US and Europe with over 80 financial institutions and wind power developers engaged in project finance.Reviewed power purchase/operating and maintenance agreements to ensure financiability.Thorough knowledge of US EXIM Bank and other export credit agency and development bank programs.

Managed a team of 5 that focused on marketing, origination, portfolio management and execution of commercial loan transactions in the renewable energy, power generation, oil & gas and infrastructure sectors.Generated and maintained customer relationships with small business owners in order to identify primary loan and cross-selling opportunities. Negotiated, structured, analyzed and closed loans through written credit applications and verbal presentations to risk committee.Generated and implemented annual marketing strategy and financial targets based upon the evaluation of industry conditions.
